Client responsibilities vary from project to project. Some clients are more hands-on with each facet of the project, while some are more hands-off. For example, a more hands-on client will typically have a large marketing department and can add their expertise with website design, functionality, and user experience.
Some clients, on the other hand, prefer to have a more hands-off approach. While they still approve of every phase, they may have a small marketing team — or no marketing team at all — and may rely on the agency throughout of the project. Regardless on the project, as the client, you’ll need to produce brand standards (logo, corporate colors, typography, etc.), as well as direction about the website needs and your company. Typically, this second area is handled through a questionnaire and/or kick-off meeting. GoManos uses a proprietary questionnaire and kick-off meeting to gather information about your website project.
